This is Kristy the first of many rescued llamas to BWRR. Because of her arthritis she will be a permanent resident at BWRR. We treat her with herbal medication to help her pain.

At Bitter Water Rescue Ranch the public has the opportunity to help the rescued llamas though sponsorship.
How this works is that you sponsor a llama for a small fee of $30.00 (CAN) per month and this goes towards the cost of feed and any medicial expenses the llama may need. This give a llama a second chance at a new life and possible a chance to find a good home. In return you recieve from the llama a thank you letter, a sponsorship certificate, a picture, and a newsletter telling you about what your llama has done all year and what events if any he or she has been in. You also get the chance to come out and visit your llama, feed him or her and have your picture taken with him or her. This allows you the chance to say that you "own" a llama without all the mess and care of one on a daily basis. You also get a chance to see the rescue ranch up close and personal. For more information about this opportunity contact Melissa at 1-403-952-6333. www.bitterwaterrescueranch.com |
